10 Inspiring Promotional Ideas and Suggestions

Following are several ideas and suggestions for promoting the upcoming event to your congregation and community. 

  • Bulletins and Newsletters. Print a notice about the concert in your worship bulletin and/or newsletter. 

  • Power Point and Sunday Mornings.  Feature the concert on your screen or other audio visual systems during announcements. Digital images and videos can be found by clicking on the links at right.

  • Website. Include the concert on your organization’s website.  Again, digital images and videos can be found by clicking on the links at right.

  • Posters.  Hang David's custom posters throughout your venue and the community.  Please note that the posters can be hung individually (8½ x 11”), or 4 posters can be taped together to form a giant poster (17 x 22”).  Just make sure there is a solid white outer border for the giant poster.  A sample of the 4 posters are shown at right.  You may also click on each individual poster to view a larger version.  Please click here to email Whitney  and order posters with your event details printed in the bottom right hand corner of each poster.

  • Advertising.  Place an ad in your local newspaper.

  • Press Release. Send a press release out to your local newspapers. A sample press release is provided under "Promotional Documents to Download" at the top right hand side of this page.

  • Calendar Listing.  Many area newspapers have calendar listings that will include your event.  Be sure to send them a notice as soon as possible so you meet their deadline.  A sample calendar listing is provided under "Promotional Documents to Download" at the right top right hand side of this page.

  • Post card invitations. Use the 4-to-a-page flyer master Whitney will create for you as postcards to mail out to your members and regular visitors.  Please click here to email Whitney to review and approve your custom flyer.

  • Invite a Friend/Neighbor.  Again, use the 4-to-a-page flyer master to create postcards that members of your organization can give to friends, neighbors, and co-workers.  Be sure to include a map or directions to your venue and a contact name.

  • Reader Boards, Banners or Signs.  If your organization has a reader board or sign, be sure to feature the upcoming concert and special event at least a week before.  Or if you can afford it, make a special banner to hang near the entrance of your facility for the community see as they drive by.  Make sure it’s large enough to read from a distance.  David's banner shown below.
