- Friday - 11:30 a.m. (Session #2) in Room 120: Practicing With Purpose: How to Maximize Your Solo Practice Time - (for all instruments) Did you know that how you practice is more important than what you practice? In this new workshop, discover the effective tools for developing good practice habits that lead to steady and measurable progress. Learn the hidden secrets of the metronome, how to create a comfortable practice space, how to develop quality repertoire, and more.
- Saturday - 10:15 a.m. (Session #5) in Room 120: - The Peripheral Worship Leader - Presented from the perspective of someone who daily experiences the joys and challenges of a full-time worship position, this class speaks to many practical, philosophical, and theological aspects of bringing a quality worship offering...while equipping the congregation to maintain their focus on the Lord.We’ll discuss the needs of the worshiper, the process, song selection, playing songs with wide ranges in singable keys, inspiring musical quality among team members, transitions during the worship set, and we’ll conclude with an illustration of the worship experience through the Tabernacle of Moses. For all musicians who love to worship our Savior, and who consider themselves works in progress.
- Saturday - 11:30 a.m. (Session #6) in Room 120: Rhythm Guitar: The Next Level - Designed to enrich the skills of the rhythm guitarist, whether for worship leading or songwriting, this fast-paced workshop covers practical aspects that any guitarist will find useful. Concepts covered include: mapping out the fretboard like a piano, diatonic and non-diatonic chords, moveable chords, major and minor key relationships, transposition, chordal analysis (visually and by ear), a brief look at the CAGED system, and more.

David will performing a concert of his original music and leading worship on Friday and Saturday for this special weekend of ministry and teaching. The keynote speakers will be John Lynch, author and key communicator with Truefaced and Bruce McNicol, co-founder and President of Truefaced. Potter’s Wheel Weekends are designed to be relaxed, reflective times where guests enjoy the beauty of our natural surroundings, luxurious times of personal prayer, rest, renewal, conversations with others, and meaningful times of worship and teaching from our speakers. The weekend begins with 6pm Dinner on Friday night followed by an opening session and concludes following Communion Sunday morning.
